Watching Abby wash her hands in these fountains, for a short while, I had a vision of her as a doctor, scrubbing in before a big surgery.  You have to have clean hands when handling surgical instruments, medical supplies, and the like, right?  Must be the frustrated doctor in me.  Hee hee.

The very first weekend after my Mom arrived in Austin for a vacation with us, we drove off to Dallas for some R & R. On 29 December, Saturday, we spent a few hours at the Dallas Arboretum. There’s no better way to relax than to be one with nature (and maybe learn a thing or two about ecology at the same time?). Plus, I kinda had a hidden agenda…I wanted to play with my new toy, and take pictures of flowers. Hee hee!

As luck would have it, there weren’t too many flowers to take pictures of because it’s, er, winter. My bad. You can’t really blame me for not knowing these things because I was born and raised in the Philippines, a tropical country (Excuses, excuses!). All was not last though. In the absence of more gorgeous flora, I was able to focus more on my loved ones and some of my favorite pics, were those I took of my Mom and Abby. :D So, without further I ado, I present to you a series of photos of the two women in my life having a conversation in the park and which I am aptly calling: Madonna and Granchild. ;)

I have many more photos of Abby and her Mimi, which will surely find their way to this site soon.

Note: This is my first entry to Weekend Snapshot. You can check-out other entries here.

I only had to accompany my daughter, Abby, to her class’ Valentine’s Day party and the hunt was over. I was suddenly transported to a very “hearty” environment.  Hee hee!  Hearts were everywhere! :)

hearts on a loot bag, which Abby decorated herself – How many do you see?

hearts on a party plate
hearts on the door – (Sorry for the pixelated image!)

hearts on a heart-shaped box (One of the many treats that Abby got.)
This is one of my three entries to Toni’s “A Show of Heart Blog Carnival”. Be my guest and check out my other entries here and here. :D

Hello there! I am Munchkin Mommy and this, to say it bluntly, is a public display of the memories we have mapped through the thousands of photos we’ve taken over the years. If a picture paints a thousand words, and I believe it does, then the photos will more than speak for themselves. But don’t worry, there will be commentaries just the same. Hee hee! ;)

I hope you enjoy viewing the photos that will be making their way here as much as we enjoyed taking and being in them.

Cheese! Oops, I meant “cheers”! :D
oOo
For my very first entry, let me share the photos of 2 of my most favorite and most loved people on the face of the known universe…hubby and my little girl, Abby. These photos were taken at the Dallas Arboretum on 29 December 2007. I call these my Paparazzi Series. ;)
