Shuttlelift

A good number of my college friends went on to become practicing architects, designing homes and buildings from the inside out.  Some, on the other hand, went into construction.  I wonder if they’ve all heard about Shuttlelift, which has become the premier line when it comes to material handling equipment.   They might have a need for a Straddle Crane.  Shuttlelift’s cranes are supposed to be of the best quality they might as well be able to lift a shuttle.  ;)

PF #1: Minimalism

This is my very first Photo Friday entry.  When I received an email alert that today’s theme is “minimalism” I simply had to join because I already have a photo ready in my archives…

I took this photo in December last year.  This is the John F. Kennedy Memorial Plaza in Downtown Dallas.  This is a very minimalist structure, in shape and design.  The architect is Philip Johnson,  and he describes this work of his as: “a place of quiet refuge, an enclosed place of thought and contemplation separated from the city around, but near the sky and earth.”
