The family of my friend’s husband owns a chain of Pan-Asian fastfood outlets. They have two branches here in Texas and several others in Boston and Indiana. There are a few more outlets scheduled to open in the coming months. I could just imagine how much they spend on advertising. These days, it is just not enough to rely on “word-of-mouth” advertising. While it is a very good thing and does a lot of good to a business, it is still best to be a little on the agressive side. Every chance to be seen is a major plus.
In my daughter’s school alone, I can’t help but notice a good number of cars with ads on the door of the driver and front passenger. I’m assuming it’s the car owner’s business. I remember seeing an ad for gardening, plumbing, dance, pizza, etc.! If I had a business, specially one that is involved in direct sales, I’d probably use my car door to advertise as well. Why not, right? :) But I don’t want the ad painted on the car. I prefer the car door magnets type. So that for any reason at all, it can be taken off the car and returned whenever.
A company that does these very innovative type of advertisement that I have in mind is VistaPrint. But their products aren’t limited to car door magnets alone. They offer a host of printing services that include business cards, rubber stamps, stationers, promotional giveaways and a whole lot more. Their products are priced competitively, too! So if you have a business and you can’t a prime ad spot in the malls or other busy areas, why not consider using your car door? That’s free ad space for you! ![]()
We did nothing extraordinary this weekend. We just stayed home on Saturday and we just did our usual activities on Sunday. We went to church, had lunch, did a little grocery shopping and dropped by the mall. At the mall, we let Abby pick a treat at the Dollar Tree. She chose a toy which is used to make bubbles. She immediately played with it when we got home…

It’s amazing how such a cheap toy can make Abby so happy…and us, too! Hee hee!

Hubby made these bubbles…

…and these, too!

After a while, I left hubby and Abby to play with bubbles so I can start dinner. When the two finished playing, Abby brought me the most beautiful blooms…

They’re beautiful because they’re from Abby. :D I hope she didn’t get these from the neighbor’s front lawn! Hee hee.
That’s about it for our weekend. I hope you had a nice one, too.
Our dinner is my other Weekend Snapshot entry.
Have a great week!
