In the Philippines, we call these “salakot“, a straw hat used by farmers to protect their heads from the harshness of the sun. I took these pics at Panda Express last Sunday using my cellphone camera (Samsung SGH-Z560). These hats were used as wall decor. Nice touch.


Who do you take your hats off to? For me, one would be people who are determined to secure a college degree, even through college education online. The sense of accomplishment it brings a person is unparalleled.
