My daughter wants an aquarium. I think it’s because of all the trips we’ve made to Sea World.
I’ve also always wanted one though. What’s keeping me and hubby from going through with buying an aquarium is the responsibility that goes with it. Fish are pets, you know. It’s not like one just puts them in an aquarium and that’s it. They have to be fed, too and the tank/aquarium has to cleaned every so often. One also has to consider the number of fish that will be bough, the size of the aquarium, even the kind of filter that will be used. If and when we decide we’re ready, I’ll be sure to check out this site: http://www.aquariumguys.com/aquarium-filters.html. They have 150 different aquarium filters from top selling brands. And then there’s the filter media, filter cartriges, filter bags and filter parts to think about. My friend gifted her son with an aquarium last year. I think she’ll like the AquariumGuys, too.
You have to admit, fish are a little easier to care for than say, dogs or cats.

I had a snail mail project in my personal blog in celebration of its 3rd “blogoverssary”. Everyone who partied with me will receive cards, which I painstakingly decorated myself. I tried my best to come up with at least 2 personalized blank cards for each of the recipients and another two pieces with a common design for all of them for a total of 4 cards. On a separate card, I wrote a personal note. I used my Papermate pens, of course.
Tomorrow, hopefully, I’ll be setting the snail free. I’m so excited!
When we went to Kuala Lumpur in 2005, we made sure that all 5 kids in our entourage had loads of fun. One of the first places we visited was Cosmo’s World Theme Park. It is the largest indoor theme park in Malaysia and is one of the Berjara Times Square’s main attractions. Just how big is it exactly? 133,000 square feet big!
Cosmo’s World is divided into two main themed areas, the Galaxy Station which caters mainly to teenagers and adults, and the Fantasy Garden, which caters to the younger ones. It is at the Galaxy Station where the adrenaline pumping rides can be found. I remember that my brother, Edward, lost his PDA (personal digital assistant) because of that one ride where he and my hubby were upside down a couple of times.
Tsk tsk. We spent most of our time at the Fantasy Garden.
It’s just too bad that when we made that trip to Malaysia, I wasn’t blogging yet. That means, I didn’t quite take photos at every stop and turn like I do now. Hee hee. Anyway, here’s what I was able to dig up from my photo archives…

Here we are at the Fantasy Garden.

A train passes under the giant apple. Those three seemingly lost kids are my nephew and nieces, Macy, Jad and Kylah.

Macy and Jad enjoying a train ride. Abby is asleep on my Mom’s shoulder.

My sister-in-law, Claire, with daughter Kylah doing some sand art.

Here we are again.
Abby wasn’t walking yet at that time.
The following photos were taken using the still function of my Mom’s videocam.

Abby only got to enjoy the train ride after a short nap.

I love the interiors of this theme park. How many people will it take to finish a doughnut that big?

The Fantasy Garden is filled with so much color and shapes.

See what I mean?
There were two other theme parks that we visited during our 5-day holiday in Malaysia. They’re next on my “regular” blogging agenda. Hee hee.
Hopefully, too, in the near future, we all get to travel together to Orlando, Florida, Disney World Tickets on hand.

My friends and I looking for discounts and coupons for our Black Friday shopping spree
People clip coupons to save money when shopping. That includes me.
We’ve saved a lot of money because of coupons and these days, every penny saved is worth all the coupon clipping.
Now, it is also possible to just click and save, thanks to advances in technology. I’m not particularly fond of on-line shopping except for a handful of items which are not available in-store. But I might have to start being fond of shopping on-line as the price of gas continues to skyrocket. I realized, too, that some of the best deals are only available on-line! A website called CouponNinja, makes coupons available for everyone to use for their on-line shopping sprees. And mind you, these couopns are free! All one needs to do is take not of the Promo Codes, which will have to be encoded before checking out of an on-line store. A lot of my favorite stores have on-line coupons available at CouponNinja, and hubby’s favorites, too! Every cent we save will definitely help stretch our budget.

These are Kuala Lumpur’s Petronas Twin Towers. They used to be the worl’s tallest buildings (1998-2004) before they were surpassed by the Taipei 101. This photo was taken on April 29, 2005.
Come have some Banana Caramel Crepe with me, my other WW entry. More Wordless Wednesday pariticipants here.
