My tag-buddy, who else but Meeya, tagged me for this meme.

I’m posting the very same digi-scrap page I used for my Father’s Day entry at my personal blog.  Abby’s and my “daddy’s corner” is truly heaven on earth, make that “heaven in one man’s arms”: safe, comforting, strong, full of love and more.  It’s beyond words. It’s more than anything Abby and I could ever hope and wish for.  We’re just plain blessed.

Rules:

1) Copy from {Start Copy Here} to {End Copy Here}.
2) Blog Brag about your husband – yes, the father of your child/ren. As I’ve said singles may also join by bragging about their own fathers, or even grandfathers. It doesn’t matter! Of course, Daddy bloggers themselves may also join, but you have to blog about your fathers and not about yourselves, deal? Okay. Good.
3) Add your blog in the list below linking to the post that you just made. Or if you wish, do it as how I’ve done it in my other blog by adding a new page.
4) Leave some love here. Yup. Here. Thanks!
5) Let’s not forget Peppermint Creative for the corner border I used for the badge.

…to say “I love you”.  Yes, with the cost of long distance and overseas call, these are the words one will ever get to say.  For people who have family and loved ones in another state, or in another country, like we do, then that just doesn’t cut it!

It’s just hubby, my daughter and me here in Austin.  Our nearest relatives, that would be aunts, uncles and cousins, are about four hours away…by plane!  The people we hold dearest are in the Philippines and in Singapore.  Being Filipinos, it is already a given that we give utmost value and importance to family and family time.  And since we are far away, the best and only way we can do that is by being in constant touch with them.  Otherwise, the three of us here, will probably just go insane!

When we got here to Austin, the very first thing we looked for are phone cards.  However, hubby and I were surprised when we found out that the best priced phone cards we can buy are worth five dollars each, and are only good for 30 minutes!  It shocked us because my aunt in California gets more minutes for her five-dollar phone card!  We simply stopped buying phone cards all together and just started using our home phone to call the Philippines.

It looks like this will no longer be the case though, because I stumbled upon Phone Cards Avenue, a website where we can secure phone cards that are upto 95% cheaper!  Yey!  We can make a call to a landline or a cellular phone in the Philippines and it will cost almost next to nothing compared to the $7 dollars for a 25-minute call that we just paid our provider!  Our five dollars now, if we call a landline,  can buy us upto 93 minutes of talk-time!  How many I-love-yous can we say in that amount of time?!  A lot!  Hahaha!  If we call a cellular phone, $5 is worth 75 minutes.

You must realize how ecstatic this makes me.  I better stop blabbing now.  I’ve got an overseas call to make. :D
