My daughter is finally on summer break. Yes, a good month and a half later than the rest of America and I won’t even attempt to explain why it’s like that in her school.
To kick off what we intend to be a fun school break for Abby, we spent two consecutive early evenings, which were still bright as day in this part of the world anyway, at the community pool. And did she have a blast! She is so much more comfortable, not to mention confident, in the water that formal swimming lessons will definitely be in order. I’ll wait after she turns 4 though, which is just a couple of weeks away. I read in the July issue of Parents magazine that the magic age for swimming lessons is 4. I can’t tell you how after reading that, all the guilt I was feeling for not signing Abby up for swimming lessons this summer just evaporated into thin air. Pfft!
Here are the snapshots…

Aba, naka-two piece pa
Why the vacation started late? My eldest daughter’s school is like that, almost always the last ones to have summer vacation, usually last week of March
