July 7, 2008

We spent July 5th at Sea World San Antonio, our favorite Texas theme park. :)  The weather was absolutely gorgeous.  The sun wasn’t its usual harsh self.  Perfect for a day of swimming.  Half of the time we were at Sea World was spent at the Lost Lagoon, the water park.  The other half was spent watching two “summer nights” show and just walking around the park.

What we were really looking forward to was the fireworks display scheduled at 9:15pm.  As early as 8:15pm. we were already comfortably seated on the grass right by the edge of the lake where the ski shows are held.

We had a perfectly clear view of the skies.  Just what I needed so I can take fireworks snap shots.  Looking up, the skies seemed busy with a show of its own.  Abby called my attention to the rainbow that suddenly made its appearance.  Click!  Click!

And then, birds decided to grace the skies as well.  Click!  Click!

A few minutes before 9pm, guess who decided to make its appearance.

Rain clouds!  Click!  Click!  And those, were my last clicks by the lake.  Darn it!  It rained.  The fireworks display had to be started early.  But it was gorgeous!  You’ll just have to take my work for it. :D

I took loads of photos during the long weekend.  But I’m as I’m using my old laptop, I could only download just enough photos my computer memory can handle.  Oh well.

My gorgeous looking July 4th lunch is HERE, my other WS entry.

Have a wonderful week! :)

  2. Weng, at least they did not cancel the fireworks display because of the rain. That would have been a bummer.

Mukhang masarap sakyan yung roller coaster na yon ha.
