These photos were taken at the Yosemite National Park (YNP) in California.  The park is 1200 square miles big and is made up of various landforms and bodies of waters.

One of the breathtakingly spectacular points of interest in the park that we had the pleasure of seeing was the Bridalveil Falls.  It is an apt name for the falls which seem like fine water mists upclose.

Check this out…now you see the falls…

…now you don’t!  There’s really a magical feel to it.  Just plain glorious and gorgeous! :D

Some people were brave enough to climb the slippery rocks to bathe by the foot of the falls.  If you are a tourist, make sure you have a  travel insurance and travel health insurance of sorts before you even dare do something like this.

Nature does know how to show-off!  Hee hee!

Have a great week ahead!

These are the breathtaking views from Glacier Point at the Yosemite National Park (YNP) in California.  It was just unfortunate that it was foggy at the time of our visit.  That limited the visibility of the gorges/canyons big time!  Due to the high elevation, it was chilly at Glacier Point…chilly enough for a jacket!

From the spot where we stood, we had a perfect view of two very distinct bodies of water in the distance.  Can you spot them? ;)

Let’s close in on them a little bit more. :D

It was chilly but this hiker wouldn’t hear of wearing a jacket!

If it hadn’t been foggy, the backdrop for this photo would be even more perfect than it already is.

The world is beautiful indeed!

I have views from Brushy Creek Park, for my other Photo Hunt entry.

Happy weekend, y’all!

I use these black and white cookies in making a chocolate crust for my cheesecakes.  But most of the time, we just end up snacking on them.  I try to watch it though as I don’t want to have to seek solace in weight loss pills not that I would ever.

As the usual practice of most kids, Abby dunks her cookie in milk before taking a bite.  But fist, she takes them apart and licks the vanilla filling.  Then she goes for the big dunk.  As a little girl, that’s how I used to enjoy these cookies too!

These photos were taken at Chuck E. Cheese’s on August 17th, Abby’s birthday.  Abby rode on this monster truck at least three times.  I loved hearing her shriek with laughter and enjoyment every time the truck went up, down and rocked from side to side.

Check out Abby’s new “bentoy”, my other WW entry.  More WW participants here.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

I promised Abby that every Friday, she gets to pick a prize if she has a good week in school, that is, a time-out free week.  And last week, she did it!  No time-outs!  You have no clue just how happy that makes me! :)  For her reward, Abby chose face painting.  We were shopping at Walmart one time when she saw a face painting set.  So I agreed.  Naturally, the role of face painter fell on me.  We had a busy weekend and it was only today that we were able to sit down for a face painting session.  Abby wanted me to draw a pony on her arm and not on her face.  Fine by me. :)  Here’s how the pony turned out…

What do you think?  I don’t think it’s that bad.  Hee hee.

I promised Abby a face painting session for every time-out free day plus a bigger prize for a time-out free week. ;)

Hungry?  Dimsum’s on me, my other WS entry. Visit other WS participants here.

Have a great week ahead!

I took this photo on the 12th of July during the drive to Mammoth.  I used my very old point and shot Canon camera .  It was a more or less 5-hour drive (it felt like sooo much more than 5!) from West Covina.  See the road which seem to just stretch on and on and on.  Thank God for the beautiful view that kept us company the whole time!

The second photo was taken in Mammoth.  It can get empty during the summer.  But I hear that’s not the case during winter because Mammoth, after all, is a winter destination. :D

I have another photo hunt entry HERE.  Visit other photo hunters here.

Have a wonderful week, y’all! :D

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Sugar is sweet
Time is gold. ;)

Hmmm, parang may mali yata dun ah. (That didn’t quite sound right.)

The next photo was taken at the lobby of the Westin Monache in Mammoth, CA. It was already late in the evening when we returned to the hotel after a day of sightseeing.  I fell in love with the warm golden glow of these candles, which prompted me to take a photo or two.  I also happen to like candles…a  lot.

Mga ginintuang puso ang isa ko pang lahok para sa Litratong Pinoy.

Bisitahin ang iba pang mga lahok dito.
