I took this photo on the 12th of July during the drive to Mammoth. I used my very old point and shot Canon camera . It was a more or less 5-hour drive (it felt like sooo much more than 5!) from West Covina. See the road which seem to just stretch on and on and on. Thank God for the beautiful view that kept us company the whole time!

The second photo was taken in Mammoth. It can get empty during the summer. But I hear that’s not the case during winter because Mammoth, after all, is a winter destination.
I have another photo hunt entry HERE. Visit other photo hunters here.
Have a wonderful week, y’all!

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Sugar is sweet
Time is gold.
Hmmm, parang may mali yata dun ah. (That didn’t quite sound right.)

The next photo was taken at the lobby of the Westin Monache in Mammoth, CA. It was already late in the evening when we returned to the hotel after a day of sightseeing. I fell in love with the warm golden glow of these candles, which prompted me to take a photo or two. I also happen to like candles…a lot.

Mga ginintuang puso ang isa ko pang lahok para sa Litratong Pinoy.
Bisitahin ang iba pang mga lahok dito.
We invited a visiting friend of Hubby for dinner at Countyline BBQ on the Lake (there’s another one that’s “on the hill”). Abby rushed her dinner so she can feed the ducks. Only there were no ducks, just turtles…lots of them and a few little fishes. I put my dinner on hold so I can accompany her.

Getting her feeds ready

There used to be ducks here. Now, it’s just turtles and some small fishes.

Happy to have her way

I love it when she works the camera like this.
After a few minutes by the lake, Abby and I headed back to our table, but not before granting a request from out-of-towners, a group of men and women taking a break from their jobs in Los Angeles, for me to tale their picture.
I have another WW entry HERE. More WW participants here.
Happy Wednesday, y’all!

Saturday could very well be dubbed “S’mores Saturday” at our home. Abby has been wanting to make some ever since she learned how to in school. Alas, for lack of better things to do and interesting dessert to eat, I relented. Hee hee. We had Chocolate Lover’s S’more after lunch and after dinner.
Here’s Abby after lunch…

Awww, how sweet! See, she knows how to share! Hee hee.

After she finished her S’mores, Abby wiped the melted chocolate off the plates with a marshmallow or two or three.
And here’s Abby after dinner…

Stringy chocolatey marshmallow! Yummeeee!

Uh-oh! Sticky, too!
The recipe can be found HERE, my other WS entry. Making S’mores is a very child friendly kitchen activity. So Moms, have a little fun with the kids in the kitchen!
Have a great week ahead!

I haven’t joined the Photo Hunt in the last 2 weeks. I’m glad I have photos for this week’s theme, “Wild”. The following photos were taken in March at the Natural Bridge and Wildlife Ranch in San Antonio, TX. It was my family’s first time to experience a zoo in reverse, so to speaks, with us in the car (windows down) and the animals freely roaming around. Abby had so much fun feeding the animals by her window. We have to do this again. Perhaps when the weather is more conducive for outdoor activities.

I have “Wild” mushrooms HERE, my other PH entry. Do visit other PH participants here.
Have a great weekend and cheers!
