Abby at almost 3 months
The moment Hubby and I found out we were expecting our first baby, we started checking out strollers at the different malls and online. I remember salivating at the top of the line models at the time, which, unfortunately, weren’t available in the Philippines.
A few weeks before Abby was born, and after months of stroller hunting, we bought a full-feature stroller, which we knew will be with us for the long haul. It was a baby-carrier, car-seat and stroller in one. Not bad for the more than $200 price tag. We took that stroller everywhere, the malls, out of town trips and out of the country!
As Abby grew, we saw the need for a less bulky and lightweight stroller. So when my Mom went to the US for a business trip, we requested that she buy Abby an umbrella stroller. And she did, God bless her!
She got Abby a Chicco Caddy Red stroller, which Abby is still able to use upto now. We milked that lightweight stroller for all its got!

Abby (18 months) and me in Frankfurt, Germany. Yes, her Chicco stroller has been to Europe! Hee hee.

If you are currently expecting, my, you will go crazy at the different kinds of strollers out there! I would suggest you start your stroller hunt at Shopwiki. It is a very helpful site which, can crawl different on-line shopping stores, much like Google does. It is different from other sites in that it will lead you even to sites that do not have paid placements with them. Be forewarned though, that the fun (and spending!) doesn’t stop when you find and finally buy your stroller of choice. You still have stroller accessories to consider like stroller bags, sun shields, rain shields, stroller toys, cup holders, etc. Good luck and have fun! *wink*
