These photos were randomly taken at the Texas Renaissance Festival, which we visited last Saturday. Located in the town of Plantersville, the renaissance-themed park was tucked away in what could have very easily been mistaken for Sherwood Forest.

It felt wonderfully nice to be in the forest and be witness to life in the 16th century (when people didn’t worry about mesothelioma!) at the same time.
These were but a very tiny fraction of the sights at the festival. Here are the tastes, my other WW entry.

Happy WW. I’ve got pics of trees and leaves, too. Check out my Scenes of Autumn, the leaves are changing in Tennessee and Missouri, but I see in Texas they are still green. I’m also asking you and your readers to check out my blog Vote for me. I’m a finalist in a Blogging Scholarship. Visit this link and select Danielle Lee.
Thank You very much.

I don’t know how far it will be for you, but there’s a new faire being build in Texas that will actually be called the Sherwood Forest Faire. It’s scheduled to open in 2010. The Sherwood Forest Faire website is up and the owner often posts at RenaissanceFestival.com asking for feedback.
