My daughter was invited to her classmates bowling birthday party last Saturday. It was Abby’s first time to go bowling and she had so much fun. Bowling for the first time with her classmates made the experience all the more enjoyable for her.

There was a steel bar that looked like a slide where the kids lay the ball on.  From there, they give the ball a big push.  Hubby helped Abby set up her shots on this steel slide thingy. :)

Abby and her classmates didn’t really want any help carrying the balls. :)

And look, no gutter balls!  Thanks to those rails!  Hee hee.

I took a lot of pics of Abby and her classmates at the party.  That reminds me, I have to burn a copy of the pics for the celebrant’s Mom.  But all I can find lying on my desk are used cds.  I know there are unused blank cds here somewhere. :)   Gotta start looking!

We checked out Ikea’s Winter yesterday afternoon with some friends and I’m proud to say that I was able to leave the huge store with very little damage to my (ok, hubby’s!) pocket. ;)   After spending a good two-hours at Ikea, half of which was spent at the cafe, we all let the kids loose at a small playground just across the Ikea parking lot.

My little girl had a lot of fun, as usual, doing something she really loves….climbing!  (I have a feeling hubby and I just might get a little scolding after my Mom sees these pics!)

She got a little help from her dad every now and then and only when she asked for it.

Abby is so unlike me when it comes to these outdoorsy things. :D

She smiles triumphantly  for the camera after her successful climb!

It doesn’t seem too long ago that this little girl was wearing disposable diapers. Slow down just a wee bit, please, Time. :)

Hindi ba’t may kantang “Blue Moon”.  Heto ang kapareha niya, “Blue Stars” o mga asul o bughaw na bituin…

“Twinkle, twinkle little stars.  How I wonder what you are?”

Mabuhay!

We visited the Trail of Lights for the second year in a row.  Come to think of it, we’ve only been living in Texas for almost two years. :)   It is a fun attraction.  It won’t remind you so much of the City of Lights nor of your Vegas vacations, but I consider it to be an Austin “must see” during the holiday season.  It definitely gives visitors a good shot of holiday cheer. :)

January 3rd was a  perfect day for the outdoors.  The temperature was around 80F, so people got to go out in their shorts and flipflops. :)   We, together with our friends, decided to go to the park so the kids can ride their bikes.

My daughter had so much fun, as expected. She’s getting more comfortable on her “big bike”. Maybe I should take-up biking/cycling, too. It’s a good alternative to running on the treadmill, specially if you have Plantar Fasciitis. ;)

I hope you’ve all already fully recovered, or at least, well on the way to full recovery after all that holiday and post holiday sale shopping.  Why?  Because in a couple of weeks, you’ll be worrying about presents again, for Valentine’s Day, in case you’ve forgotten. :) Sorry to burst your bubble!  Hee hee.

So, what’s it going to be?  Flowers?  Chocolates?  Jewelry?  Wrist watch?  If you’re considering giving your special someone the gift of time, one website you can check out is Kenmar Watches.  They have a huge selection of wrist watches, from luxury name brands to ones which you probably haven’t heard before but might become a household name before you know it. Gucci, Tissot, Calvin Klein, and Suunto watches are just some of the brands from Kenmar’s very long list.

You can shop according to price, style or color.  I was exploring the site and clicked on “unique” and found these two watches, which are unique all right, so much so that they are included in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Nooka Zotzubr Zub Mens Watch

Nooka Zenhnhb Zen-h Mens Watch

What do you think?  I, personally, will just have to stick to the “traditional” watches with the second and minute hands.  But I won’t judge you if you like museum pieces. :)   Promise!
