I know of married couples who have successfully beaten the odds presented by long distance relationships.  I know of married couples who are still separated by distance, mostly for work-related reasons.  And I know of used-to-be couples whose long distance relationships didn’t quite make it BUT met who they’re meant to be with after some time.

If you’re in a long distance relationship presently, here’s one way of looking at the brighter side…think of the sacrifice people married to astronauts have to bear.  That’s looooong-distance all right!  Suddenly, the distance between Manila and the UAE doesn’t seem too great, when compared to the distance between the earth and the space station.

Almost exactly a year ago, on June 18th, I posted the entry “Better Luck Next Year”.  And true enough, they did have better luck this year!  Millions of people all over the world were probably glued to their televisions for the duration of the game.  Hubby couldn’t be happier for his team.  He’s been a huge fan of the Lakers since he was a little boy.  I’m guessing he’ll wear this cap a lot for the next few days…proudly at that!

The photo of the ball of ice was taken last Thursday night after 10 minutes of hail.  That whole time, it felt like our roof and windows were continuously being hit by baseball bats sans a baseball game and New York Yankees tickets.  We didn’t realize we had a broken window until the following morning.

In relationships, this is sometimes the case.  There are couples who don’t realize they’re incompatible until after marriage.  But some, through compromise, are able to work through their incompatibility.

That’s what my Little Munchkin seems to be telling her dad and me.

She’s been keeping a reasonably busy summer schedule.  And she’s going to learn a few sports this year.  She seems to like ice skating and tennis and soon, swimming will enter the picture.  I learned to swim when I was already 9.  My daughter hopes to learn to swim before she turns 5.  With her determination, I have no doubt she will.  I hope she keeps up this love for sports and be fit and healthy.  I honestly don’t see my daughter reading liporexall reviews in the future.

Yes, yes, yes…you and I know that money is a (big) factor that more often than not, makes or breaks a marriage.  One of the biggest adjustments a couple makes after affixing their names to THE contract concerns spending. Well and good if neither is a spendrift.  But if one or both is a shopaholic, marriage can be a little more interesting than it should be.  Hee hee.  If only there are pills that work like appetite suppressants.   My tip?  Abstain and stay away from temptation.  Easier said than done, I know.
