I’ve always found it a little hard to snap out of vacation mode no matter how short the vacation was.  Take for example my latest case of vacation hang-over.  I’ve been back from a 5-day mini vacation since Wednesday night, yet, I’m still very much in vacation mode that I could hardly lift a finger.  Hee hee.

The first leg of our vacation was an overnight stay in Houston.  As always, we stayed at the Hampton Inn, which has served as our home away from home for a good number of times already.  Check out the shiny black appliances that greeted us…

The Hampton Inn near the Houston Galleria turned out to be a very good choice.  We had a mini-fridge, a microwave and this good-sized tv.   Only select Hampton Inns have a fridge and a microwave and the tvs are usually from the pre-plasma/lcd era.  The office furniture pieces were nice, too!

We didn’t go around Houston much as we arrived late Saturday and had to leave around noon the next day.  We did get to bring our little girl to the Houston Children’s Museum plus a stop at the Houston Galleria for dinner.  More photos (hopefully!) in upcoming posts.
