I adore water features, not to mention the sound of a steady stream of water.  It may be because I am a water sign. I find fountains, from table-top sized ones to really big ones, and infinity pools to be so soothing.  When I went to a spa in December (yes, that long ago!), I chose water sounds for the in-room music. I ought to play soothing water sounds here at home specially around bed time, so I can have a restful sleep and not have to worry that I may soon need acne pills if I don’t get enough sleep.

The deals that abound on Tax Day are indeed, in themselves, worth celebrating.  And we definitely took advantage!  We thought it was just right to reward ourselves after making the tax deadline.  Excuses, excuses!

Our family went on a date at McCormick and Schmick’s.  I had a little drink called Smirnoff Orange Tropicana.  It was sweet and refreshing, just the way I like my drinks (on the very rare occasions that I have them!).  Don’t let drinks like this fool you though.  It’s the sweet and refreshing ones that get you drunk and tipsy a little too quickly and before you know, you’re saying things that don’t make sense, like “Does lipozene work?” Hee hee.  Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Oh yeah, you can have your cake and eat it, too!  Don’t we always want to say that to ourselves?!  I do!  I baked and decorated two cakes last week.  One was a Sesame Street Themed cake and another one was an unconventional birthday – Mocha Chiffon with Creme Chantilly.

This is my favorite cake to make and eat. Hee hee.  I made this one for a dear friend.  The cake is topped with fresh fruits and dark chocolate shavings.  Believe me, it is so light you won’t even be thinking about hydroxycut even after you finish a generous-sized slice. I might bake another chiffon cake this weekend as we have a special guest coming.
