learning to ride a bike.  My 5-year old little girl reached another milestone when she learned to ride a bike (without training wheels!) last month.

The hard work she and her dad have put into their afternoon practices have definitely paid off.  I am so proud of my daughter who never ceases to amaze me.  I knew somehow that she will learn to ride a bike this summer.  And I was right. :) My little girl is growing up too fast!  When she hits her teenage years, I hope she won’t have the need for best acne products, flawless that is right now.  I shouldn’t really worry about those things just yet.  For now, I will continue enjoying being my daughter’s best friend and number 1 fan. :D

I used to think I was unlucky in raffles and the like.  But since reading The Secret, I’ve changed the way I think. Nevertheless, I was still pretty surprised when I was informed that I won a year’s supply of eggs from Eggland’s Best Eggs.

Last month, I received my winnings in the form of 26 coupons each of which is good for a dozen eggs.  You can just imagine how happy I was!  With the amount of baking and cooking that I do, a year’s supply of eggs while definitely go a long way.

I look forward to winning more prizes!  Prizes mean more reasons to be happy.  And being happy is a sure fire way of slowing down the need for prototype 37c :)

Have a great weekend, y’all!  Cheers!

I’ve been keeping busy this summer (too busy to bother with force factor reviews!).  I’m mostly busy keeping my little girl, well, busy.  Hee hee.  And then, aside from the usual SAHMMY duties, I have found myself releasing my creative duties through a variety of crafts, one of which was jazzing up my flip flops. :)

I’ve had these Old Navy wedge flip flops for 3 years. Through the magic of velcro, artificial flowers and glue, my old flip flops were renewed.  I must say that I love how these turned out. ;)

Anthony Bourdain has a new book out, Medium Raw.  And last June 29th, he came to Austin for a book signing.  Before the book signing proper, AB fans had the chance to chat with the No Reservations host via a very casual Q and A type of exchange, which lasted for about an hour.  AB was very relaxed and was even sipping Shiner straight from the bottle.  Hee hee.  He is one funny guy, I tell you and very entertaining.  His fans seemed to hang on to his every word and looked like they couldn’t care less if it were social security disability AB was talking about.  Suffice it to say, I was star struck.  I couldn’t even remember half of the questions and answers.  :P   I waited in line for 1 1/2 hours to have my book signed.  For a brief up-close encounter with AB, the wait was well worth it.  Never mind if I had to pay for the book at full price.  Hee hee. :)
