Ha! You bet I can now identify the Jonas Brothers!  And it’s about time!   The above photo was taken on September 10th at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX.  The Jonas Brothers took the stage after the intermission, the first performers being Demi Lovato and the stars of Camp Rock 2. I found the experience most enjoyable and at the same time, amusing.  While a good number of the people in the crowd could be possible candidates for eczema treatment, being teeny boppers and all, almost half the crowd were non-teeny boppers.  Why, they drove their kids to the venue, of course!  And most probably even paid for the tickets!  So who are the real rockers, now?  Cheers to parents who actually make going to concerts happen for their kids!  We rock!

This was a badly taken photo, I have to admit, but it’s them…the stars of Camp Rock 2 sans the Jonas Brothers, who were to appear on stage just a tad later.  Just as it was my daughter’s first time to go to a concert, it was MY first time to be surrounded by a very huge number of shrieking tween and teen fans.  In the audience were younger kids, too, like my very own daughter.  And not to forget, the Moms and Dads, people who are actually old enough to worry about such things as car insurance.

The stars sang songs from the made-for-tv movie.  As expected, the crowd already knew the songs by heart…save for thirty-something me. Hee hee.  I’m happy to report, however, that I had a blast at the concert.  I even encouraged my daughter to shriek with me. 

I wonder when Miley is coming to town.  Hmmm….

It’s a laid-back Monday, today being Labor Day. I like easy and stress free days like this.  And at the rate that days have been zooming past all of us, before we know it, it’s already Cyber Monday, now that’s another one of my kind of Mondays.  Hee hee.

I’m already  looking forward to the holidays.  We’ll have a great one, that’s for sure.  Weight gain notwithstanding, we will enjoy the flavors of home…and that includes street food like the one pictured below.

No, no, that’s no mistake.  It’s not that computer/Facebook game I’m talking about.  During the summer break, one of the things that kept my daughter and me busy was bead jewelry making.  Here’s a sample of what my daughter made…

I love it!   These days, when people are on a self-imposed shopping diet and resisting the temptation to buy gold online, custom made, one-of-a-kind jewelry is a very sensible option.  And you get to express yourself, too!  I’ve made several pieces for myself.  I so want to make some more!

Call me insane, but this is how I’m getting ready for the holidays…

Well, more than getting ready for the holidays, regular exercise has become a part of my life since the 3nd week of January.  I will probably never fit into XXS petite clothing, but I sure as heck don’t want to wear clothes from the other end of the size chart again (ever!).

I will not gain weight over the holidays….that is my mantra.
