We enjoyed a gorgeous bowl of halo-halo in Boracay two days ago. How can we not enjoy it when we’re lazing around in a private cabana with a breathtakingly beautiful beach just in front of us? *sigh* The Philippines is indeed beautiful and we’re thankful we got to visit Boracay for the first time ever…finally! It’s quite embarrassing when people ask if we’ve been there and we answer in the negative. Now, we can answer the same question with an enthusiastic yes. And we’ve got photos from our trusty point and shoot camera bought 3 Black Fridays ago to prove it. Hee hee.

…who Vin Vin is? Well, I don’t! But I do know he or she has a small “cafe” at the Manila Domestic Airport terminal. Hee hee.
Do not be expecting designer furniture!
This little cafe sells warm dishes, mami, siopao, siomai and Red Ribbon products. A lot of hungry Sea Air and Zest Air passengers make a beeline for Vin Vin’s food to curb hunger pangs before boarding their flights. The prices were a shocker, of course, as all airport products are. But the food is decent tasting. My daughter loved the siomai and I, the ensaymada.
Mabuhay is the Filipino word for welcome. It also means “to live” and
“long live” (like when toasting a person, “Mabuhay ka!). It is one of my most favorite Filipino words.
Yesterday, while checking-in at a hotel, we were pleasantly surprised when we were served tall glasses of very cool and refreshing buco pandan juice. Mabuhay (welcome) drinks!
Just what we needed!
I like our hotel a lot. It’s new and the outdoor lighting by the pool is just awesome. I hope to post pictures and actually tell you where we are…soon.

After filling up on that stuffing from Thanksgiving, it’s now time to think about the stuffing that goes into the Christmas stocking. I can’t believe it’s December already! I’m excited as ever! I still have a lot of gift shopping ahead of me. But I don’t want to stress over the uncrossed names on my list too much or I might end up needing shampoo for thinning hair. Stress and worry equals thinning hair, don’t they? Besides, I have plenty of time to get everybody on my list something. That’s what I tell myself at least.

It looks like the cold weather is here to stay now and we’ll be needing a nice warm bowl of soup every meal to help keep us from freezing. Throw in the best face moisturizer there is as well! The low temperatures isn’t helping hubby and me with our running. It’s actually been a while since we went for a run. It’s just more tempting to sleep some more instead of going out in the biting cold. *sigh* We have to resume our gym routine. I sure don’t want to get heavy again. No, no, no!
