I’ve been cooking with my wok a lot these fast few days.  After a very very long time, I made homemade fishballs.  Gosh, I’ve missed these! I even attempted to make my own fishballs dipping sauce, hoping to at least come close to the taste of the dipping sauces of the fishball vendors in the Philippines. I dare say that the dipping sauce I cam up with tasted so much like the street vendor variety. Hee hee.  I need to work it some more before I even start to dream of bottling the sauces for possible online sales. Haha! I will surely have a better chance of succeeding in a food-related business than say, selling the products being offered at Wholesaleinsurance.net!

Cheers y’al! Mabuhay!

I’m a mom and I’m allowed to dream big for my daughter. Hee hee.  My little girl had a week-long tennis camp, which ended yesterday. It turned out to be a lot of fun – for her and for us, her parents. She didn’t need any coaxing to get ready and go to class, unlike for swimming. Hee hee. The camp location is about a 30-minute drive from where we live. And the community where it’s at, well, it’s just plain gorgeous. I would not mind living there at all! Hee hee. I will eagerly load all our stuff on some  material handling equipment, load them up in a truck and then move in to a home that we can call our own. But’ that’s a different dream all together, not to mention a different blog entry. Haha.

I’m glad my daughter had a blast at camp. She wants to do it again next month. Most likely, she will. Tennis greats aren’t made in a day  - or even a week! – at camp. :)

Cheers, y’all!

The biggest sports fan in our house is a little bummed that there’s a very big possibility that there will be no football (NFL) and basketball (NBA) to speak of this season. Poor thing. The above photo is a “recycled” one. I’ve already used it in one of my older entries. This was taken in January 2010 in San Antonio. It was a dream come true for hubby – his first time to watch an NBA game live and his first time to watch his favorite team, the LA Lakers! We had well-appointed seats, too! All the key players were there, except Pau Gasol didn’t play (must be injured but I didn’t notice any ankle braces for basketball players or anything of that sort). Anyway, for my dear hubby’s sake, I do hope we get to see some basketball and football this season. It will be weird to not have a Superbowl and an NBA Championship in the same season. That’s just a little too sad for sports fans.

Hubby and I took our daughter and 2 friends of hers (who are like my own nephews to me) to one of the pools in our community for a few hours of fun away from the tv and laptops notebooks .  It was only our 2nd time to go to a pool outside of my little girl’s swim class. When the sun started to set, which was already around 8pm, what few people were around started to pack up and leave. And for a little over 30 minutes, we had the pool all to ourselves! Exclusivity, yeah! The kids were very happy about that stroke of luck. They’re hoping it happens again next time. Haha! :)
