One of the highlights of our vacation in the Philippines was a short but nevertheless sweet visit to hubby’s and my alma mater…The Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas (UST), which turned 400 years old this year. We took as many photos as we possibly can in the two hours that we were on campus grounds.  Two hours proved to be too short though.  Still, those two hours brought back happy memories of the years we spent in the University.  I still need acne scar treatment for all the sleepless nights during my college days! Hee hee.  Hubby and I sure are glad to have been home in the year our alma mater celebrated a milestone birthday. What great blessing!

I took the above photo two hours after the New Year festivities in Eastwood City, Quezon City’s most happening place these days.  We have a nice photo booth pic to commemorate the end of 2010 and the start of 2011 but the scanner software isn’t working so I can’t post it.

We had fun ushering in the New Year.  May God bless all of us more in 2011!  Cheers!

I made this cake for a Halloween party we attended on October 30th.  It’s an 8-inch round, 4-inch high Vanilla Chiffon Cake with Italian Meringue Buttercream filling.  A friend requested me to make it for the party to be used mainly as decoration.  But it got eaten just the same, much to my pleasure. :)

It was a super busy Halloween weekend for my family.  We had such a wonderful time and we partook of such yummy food in the two Halloween get-togethers we attended.  Never did I think about fat burning pills as I took bite after bite of the thrilling food feast! :) *happy sigh*

Gotta love that smoke comin’ out of the test tube!  Guess what’s in it.  Not ephedra diet pills, silly!  Just good ‘ol dry ice and some (hot) water. ;)

I made this cake for the 9th birthday of a dear friend’s daughter.  It’s a Monster High-themed cake, in case you’re wondering. :)   I know a lot of people believe that birthday celebrations and coffins don’t mix.  Then again, some people are less superstitious than others, so I just let my friend have her way.

This was a super fun cake to make.  And I have to say, the birthday girl and her guests loved the cake as much as I loved making it. ;)

We had a fun pajama party two weeks ago in celebration of my daughter’s birthday no. 6.  I made her birthday cake myself, of course!  It was appropriately themed for the party. :)   The cake was Mocha Chiffon Marble Cake, her special request, filled and frosted with Italian Meringue Buttercream.

We granted my 6-year old’s birthday wish.  It wasn’t really all that hard to grant.  She didn’t ask for anything outrageous for her age, say, loose diamonds. Hee hee.

The party was super fun, just as we had hoped it would be.  Cheers, y’all!
