PF #3: Beauty

I was tempted to post a photo of my daughter because she, to me, is beauty.  But, I’ve decided against it and chose to focus on nature’s beauty instead.  This photo was taken two weeks ago, when we went to California for a brief vacation.  We were driving up to Mammoth and just before sunset, the beauty of the sun’s rays piercing through the clouds kept us company.  I waited for this kind of a shot for a long time and I just had to take it…moving van notwithstanding. :)

PF #2: The Great Outdoors

This photo was taken at the San Antonio Botanical Garden in January 2008.  It would have been a real treat had there been a bird in this bird house. :D I should have waited a while. Hee hee.

PF #1: Minimalism

This is my very first Photo Friday entry.  When I received an email alert that today’s theme is “minimalism” I simply had to join because I already have a photo ready in my archives…

I took this photo in December last year.  This is the John F. Kennedy Memorial Plaza in Downtown Dallas.  This is a very minimalist structure, in shape and design.  The architect is Philip Johnson,  and he describes this work of his as: “a place of quiet refuge, an enclosed place of thought and contemplation separated from the city around, but near the sky and earth.”
