The biggest sports fan in our house is a little bummed that there’s a very big possibility that there will be no football (NFL) and basketball (NBA) to speak of this season. Poor thing. The above photo is a “recycled” one. I’ve already used it in one of my older entries. This was taken in January 2010 in San Antonio. It was a dream come true for hubby – his first time to watch an NBA game live and his first time to watch his favorite team, the LA Lakers! We had well-appointed seats, too! All the key players were there, except Pau Gasol didn’t play (must be injured but I didn’t notice any ankle braces for basketball players or anything of that sort). Anyway, for my dear hubby’s sake, I do hope we get to see some basketball and football this season. It will be weird to not have a Superbowl and an NBA Championship in the same season. That’s just a little too sad for sports fans.

Last January 12th, Hubby and I finally got to watch our very first live NBA game. We drove to San Antonio, TX on a Tuesday night to watch the Spurs play against the LA Lakers. We cheered for the Lakers!
Hee hee. It wasn’t so bad going against the home-team cheering crowd. What was a big shame, however, was that the Lakers lost…by an embarrassing 20 points! Grrrr! If only I could get a refund for the tickets!
Kobe got injured towards the end of the 2nd quarter, left the court and never returned. *sigh* We learned later on that he twisted his ankle or something but was already well enough to play against the Dallas Mavericks the next day. I’m sure he was given the best care without any need forMedicare supplement insurance. We hope to watch the Lakers play again soon. And we hope the next time, they win…so we get what we paid for. Hee hee.
