There are at least three things that MOST girls my daughter’s age (4 years old)) have in common. One is the love for the color pink. Another is the love for pretend play…pretending to be princesses in particular! And third, they have their parents wrapped around their little fingers.
My daughter’s got me under a magical spell. *sigh*

I’d love for her to rub elbows with Disney princesses again, like she did during our July visit to Disneyland. She had loads of fun then. Perhaps when we go on one of those Orlando vacations, we can go to Disney World next. *cross fingers*

One of the gifts Hubby received for his birthday was a poker set. It was given by one of our dearest friends. Hubby gamely showed off his poker chips…and poker face.
During his birthday lunch, hubby got a free slice of cake, my other WW entry.

These photos were randomly taken at the Texas Renaissance Festival, which we visited last Saturday. Located in the town of Plantersville, the renaissance-themed park was tucked away in what could have very easily been mistaken for Sherwood Forest.

It felt wonderfully nice to be in the forest and be witness to life in the 16th century (when people didn’t worry about mesothelioma!) at the same time.
These were but a very tiny fraction of the sights at the festival. Here are the tastes, my other WW entry.

We attended a birthday party last Sunday, Novenber 2nd. The kids had a lot of fun playing in the sand box…among other things.

Abby pretended to make some cake.

I had to do a lot of coaxing to get her to smile for me.

And she obliged, if only to get rid of me. Hee hee.

I have Strawberries Dipped in White Chocolate for my other Wordless Wednesday entry.
Happy Wednesday, y’all!

Abby handed me this “Skeletoni” when I picked her up from school yesterday.

She made it in school last Friday. It’s cute, isn’t it? You might want to make one with your kids. Most homes have a stash of uncooked pasta. *wink*
These are the halloween crafts Abby made in school last year…

A photo frame made of craft sticks and decorated with fun stickers

A mini pumpkin head
I like fun crafts like these because they take away the kids’ focus from what could sometimes be negative associations with halloween…the scary kind that make people lose their bearings.
Hungry? I’ve got Monster Cupcakes, my other WW entry!
Enjoy the rest of the week!
